1. Determining the type of refrigerator coating: why is it important

Before you grab the sponge, examine the surface. It depends on the material which product can be used:

• 🔹 Glossy coating (Samsung RS6*, LG Instaview*): the most capricious. Abrasives, powders and hard brushes leave microcracks, which cause a cloudy coating to appear over time. Only mild chemicals or microfiber is suitable.

🔍 How to determine the type? Shine it with a flashlight: if the reflection is clear - gloss, if diffuse - matte coating. Small “craters” from age are often visible on the enamel. Stainless steel gives off a cold shine and a characteristic sound when tapped.

❌ Also avoid hot water (above 40°C) - it deforms plastic panels and can peel off the coating on budget models (Beko CN*, Pozis RK*). For washing, use water at room temperature.

⚠️ Attention: If there are display or touch buttons (Samsung Family Hub*, LG ThinQ*on the refrigerator, do not direct a stream of water at them and do not use alcohol-containing wipes - this will lead to malfunctions of the electronics.

💦 For disinfection use seals after cleaning vinegar solution (1:1) or chlorhexidine (sold at the pharmacy). This will kill mold and bacteria, which often accumulate in the folds of rubber.

6. How to wash a refrigerator with a display or touch buttons

Modern models (Samsung Family Hub, LG InstaView ThinQ) are equipped with screens and sensors that are resistant to moisture. Care instructions:

1. 📵 Unplug (don't just turn it off, but remove the plug!).
2. 🧴 Use special wipes for electronics (for example, iCloth) or isopropyl alcohol solution (70%).
3. 🚫 Do not spray the liquid directly on the screen - apply it to the napkin.
4. 🔄 Movements only light, from the center to the edges.
5. 💧 To remove greasy stains from the display frame, use damp (not wet!) microfiber.
