Moving to a new apartment or simply purchasing large household appliances often confronts the owner with a difficult logistics task. Especially if there is only a passenger car in the garage, and the dimensions of the cargo do not allow you to stuff it into the cabin or onto the roof. Using trailer in such a situation seems like an ideal solution, but it is fraught with hidden risks for the unit itself.
Improper transportation can lead to serious damage to the compressor, loss of circuit tightness or deformation of the housing. Unlike a stationary installation, issues of dynamics, vibration and proper weight distribution come to the fore here. You have to take into account many nuances in order to deliver the equipment safe and sound.

We will pay special attention to the rules of fixation and permissible body positions when driving on uneven roads. Compliance with these recommendations will save you from costly repairs.
Preparation of refrigeration equipment for transportation
The first and most important stage is the complete defrosting unit. Even a small amount of ice in the evaporator, when shaken, can turn into water, which, if it gets on electrical components, can cause a short circuit. Therefore, unplug the device from the network at least 24 hours before your planned trip.
After the ice has melted, you need to thoroughly wash and, what is critically important, dry the inner chamber. The humid environment inside an enclosed space is an ideal condition for the development of mold and unpleasant odors, which will then be difficult to get rid of. It is better to leave the doors slightly open during drying.
