Often it is enough to change the appearance of existing appliances to make the room shine in a new way. One of the most affordable and effective methods of transformation is to cover the refrigerator with self-adhesive film.

This process allows you to hide scratches, abrasions and yellowness that inevitably appear on white plastic or metal after years of use. In addition, vinyl protection helps preserve the factory coating from further damage, prolonging the life of your favorite unit.

High-quality work is visually indistinguishable from factory painting or a new plastic coating. The main thing is to strictly follow the surface preparation technology and the technique of applying the material in order to avoid bubbles and peeling in the future.

Choosing the appropriate material for gluing

The first step to success is the correct selection of consumables. The market offers many options, from cheap paper wallpaper to professional automotive vinyl. For kitchen appliances that are constantly exposed to temperature changes, moisture and grease fumes, you should not skimp on film.

The best choice would be vinyl film with an adhesive base. It's flexible enough to fit around corners and durable enough to withstand regular wet cleaning. It is important to pay attention to the presence of microchannels in the adhesive layer - this technology allows air to escape when smoothing, preventing the formation of bubbles.

A hair dryer will also be an indispensable assistant. It allows you to soften the vinyl, making it malleable, which is critical when pasting rounded corners and complex door surfaces. A regular hair dryer may not produce the desired temperature, although in a pinch it will do.
