This requires an understanding of thermodynamics, the presence of specialized equipment for creating a vacuum and strict adherence to sealing technologies. One of the most common mistakes is neglecting replacement filter drier. Every time the system is depressurized and the oil is changed, the filter drier must be replaced with a new one, since the old one is already saturated with moisture and will not be able to protect the system from acids. Ignoring this rule negates all the work.
Another mistake is using inappropriate hoses. To work with synthetic oils and modern freons, hoses with an inner layer that is resistant to chemical attack are needed. Ordinary rubber hoses can swell or collapse if they get into the system.
