First of all, you need to conduct a thorough diagnosis. Take a sheet of regular office paper and clamp it around the perimeter of the door. Also carefully inspect the rubber itself: there should be no cracks, tears or areas with mold that can no longer be washed.

This method allows you to heat the polymer structure of the material, making it soft and plastic, after which it easily takes the desired shape. You will need a household steamer or an iron with a vertical steam function.

Turn on the device and carefully run a stream of steam along the entire perimeter of the door, paying special attention to the dents. Do not hold the nozzle too close to the rubber to avoid melting it. As soon as the material warms up, straighten the deformed areas with your hands, pressing them against the body of the refrigerator.

After steam treatment, do not close the door immediately. Allow the seal to cool completely while flattened for 15–20 minutes. This will lock in the new shape. If the dents do not disappear completely the first time, the procedure can be repeated.

Using a hair dryer for local heating

If a steamer is not available, you can use a construction or household hair dryer. This method requires more caution, since the risk of overheating and damage to the surface is higher. Constantly move the hairdryer, without staying in one place for more than 2-3 seconds. Periodically check the degree of heating with your hand (carefully!).
